Concept Cube (2022): The First Step in a New Direction
In 2022, the first Concept Cube was designed and developed – a visionary concept offering a glimpse into the vibratory plate of tomorrow. The idea: a fully electric machine that impresses with a progressive design language and completely new control possibilities. Unlike conventional vibratory plates, the Concept Cube can move freely in all directions. Curved paths, diagonal movements – no problem thanks to the innovative drive system. The compact design of the electric drive also enables the development of smaller machines without compromising on performance, efficiency, or functionality.
In addition to the hardware design, HYVE also developed the accompanying app, allowing the Concept Cube to be remote-controlled via smartphone – a key step toward digitalization and user-centric innovation in the construction equipment sector.
Concept Cube 2.0 (2025): Turning Vision into Reality
Three years later, the Concept Cube 2.0 marked the next logical step. The goal: to bring the visionary concept closer to a production-ready product. The new Cube has the real-world dimensions of a standard vibratory plate, weighs 500 kilograms, and is fully electrically powered. It stays true to its origins in terms of design – the evolution of the original design language is immediately recognizable.
A key focus was placed on the control concept. Together with HATZ, HYVE developed and evaluated various interaction solutions – drawing inspiration from devices like 3D mice and Formula 1 steering wheels. The result is a hybrid control concept that bridges the gap between innovation and user habits: the Concept Cube 2.0 can be operated using a classic handlebar, or remotely once the steering element is detached and the handlebar folded down.
World Premiere at BAUMA 2025
The Concept Cube 2.0 celebrated its premiere where the industry looks to the future: at BAUMA 2025. In the outdoor area of the trade fair, the device could be tested live – a striking demonstration of how forward-thinking technology, thoughtful design, and user-centric control can be brought together in a single product. With the Concept Cube, HATZ shows how a traditional industry can be revitalized through bold rethinking, smart technology, and courageous design.
