In view of the successes to date and the widespread interest in Austria, the HYVE subsidiary HYVE Innovation Austria GmbH was founded in November 2018 in order to better meet the expectations and needs of Austrian customers. The current projects and services place a strong focus on innovation strategy, innovation consulting and innovation labs. In addition to the promising projects, the expansion of the team is in full swing with the aim of expanding the HYVE One-Stop Shop for innovation in Austria and offering all services related to innovation from a single source.
The growing HIA team is eager to tackle the next challenges and projects in Austria with full commitment and passion for innovation.

Our goal is to identify and develop intrapreneurs from the entire RBI Group and to work with them on current challenges. Since we have almost 50,000 employees in the group, it was important to me to find a way that involved everyone. The HYVE platform is an excellent tool for this. Particularly in the network, the opportunity to work on topics at group level was extremely well received and a real competitive battle broke out on the platform.
About Michael Maier
Michael Maier studied Urban Technologies (Energy and Environmental Technology) and Executive Management. After 4.5 years of industry and start-up experience, he helped to set up the Vienna office at the digitisation and management consultancy Detecon in 3.5 years. With the thematic focus on Strategy & Innovation, he was also able to gain further innovation expertise and insights as an Innovation Ambassador in Silicon Valley.
Michael Maier joined HYVE in September 2017 as Head Office Vienna, where he was responsible for establishing and expanding the Vienna office and the Austrian market.
