The comprehensive modular PretactTM concept from Siemens ensures that operators of distribution networks and industrial or regenerative applications save time and money while benefiting from outstanding network and application stability.
As part of a comprehensive design initiative, HYVE developed a concept for the visual design of these mobile units for Siemens. This took place in intensive exchange with experts from Siemens and customers from Siemens Transformers. The result of this cooperation is the “Frame” design line.
Prevent – Protect – Respond
PretactTM is based on 3 columns: Prevention – Protection – Reaction.
This enables users to prevent malfunctions during operation, protect their transformers and react quickly in an emergency. The new concept addresses emergencies, retrofits/extensions and new installations. Along the entire energy value chain, it serves to increase network stability by means of modular properties and solution architecture for power and distribution transformers.
This also includes a mobile plug & play transformer for emergencies, which can restore the power supply within a few days instead of weeks if a regular unit fails. For this purpose, this transformer has numerous special features (e.g. “Plug & Play” connections for fast cabling) and can usually be transported without special transport permission.
At the Hannover Messe 2016 results of the cooperation between Siemens and HYVE were presented and in March 2017 Siemens, the most innovative transformer manufacturer, was awarded the iF Award 2017 for its groundbreaking new transformer design.
